Welcome to the Community

Welcome to the virtual community for HKNA/Astro's Community Dog Run on the northwest corner of 39th and 10th in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. The Hell's Kitchen Neighborhood Association (HKNA) leases three green spaces from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey; the Community Garden, the Dog Run, and the Bird Park. Although it exists under the auspices of the neighborhood association, Astro's Community Dog Run is a self-sustaining community - completely maintained, funded, and managed by its members.

Thank you to everyone who participated at the Member End-of-Year Holiday Party!

We appreciate those who showed up and volunteered. There was a great spread of artichoke dip, hot hors d'ourves, salad, lasagna, turkey sausages, and topped off with chocolate cream pie. We all look forward to a successful 2009 year at the run. Special thanks to Cheryl Hamilton who helped organize the food and set up/break down.

This year’s Howl-o-ween party was a success, as you can see from the pictures posted here, the dogs all looked terrific! Last year photos can be found here.
